Div Com reviews arrangements for Adnan Sami concert | KNO

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a high level officers meeting here to review the arrangements for the upcoming musical concert of Adnan Sami at SKICC.

The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Medical officer, RTO Kashmir, SSP Traffic, SP Security, Chief Engineer R&B, Executive Engineers of PDD, PHE I&FC, GM SRTC, Secretary Cultural Academy, Joint Commissioner SMC, Field Publicity Officer Information, Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner, Officers of Education, Garages, Hospitality & Protocol, Sports Council, SKICC, LAWDA and other concerned officers were present in the meeting. 

 

The meeting was informed that in order to boost tourism sector in the valley, the Jammu and Kashmir government is organising a musical concert by award-winning singer Adnan Sami on the banks of Dal Lake on Saturday, October 07, 2017 at SKICC. 

Arrangements which were discussed threadbare including proper seating, installation of CCTV cameras, barricading, PAS, uninterrupted electricity & water supply, stage, deployment of Additional Gensets & Additional Water tankers, fire tenders, mobile Bio-toilets, sanitation in and around the venue, cleanliness around the Dal Lake embankments, Medical Camp, High-end & luxury vehicles, flower bouquets and other arrangements.         

Div Com directed DC Srinagar to supervise this event and deploy magistracy and liaison officers from the concerned departments to the venue. Department of Tourism is the nodal agency to conduct this event smoothly.

Around 3000 guests, media persons, school children and officers are expected to participate in the event.

Div Com asked DC Srinagar and Director Tourism jointly issue colour coded passes for one person on non transferable basis with acknowledgment entries of the guests besides setting up the joint control room of all concerned departments at the venue on Thursday.

Khan directed Hospitality & Protocol department to ensure boarding and lodging for the outside guests besides providing full refreshment to the audience during the event. SKICC will provide all logistic support up to the culmination of the event.

Doordarshan will cover this event live for the audience of the valley as well as in the country. Only accredited journalists will be invited to cover this event.

Reviewing the security arrangements, the Divisional Commissioner asked for sensitization of fool proof security in and around the venue. The Traffic department was directed to indentify space for parking of vehicles near the venues, three separate entries in to the venue and ensure proper route plan during the event.

Div Com directed DC Srinagar and Director Tourism to visit the venue on Thursday evening to review all logistic arrangements.

Div Com called for close coordination among the concerned Departments for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the musical concert.
